Kate Shafer is a Fitness Practitioner at Applied Fitness Solutions. She graduated in August 2015 from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science: Health Fitness concentration. She also has minors in Psychology and Nutrition. She holds a certification from the American College of Sports Medicine as a Personal Trainer, as well as TRX Group Suspension Training and TurboKick.
While at CMU, Kate taught a variety of group fitness classes and trained clients for the University. She worked for their Student Activity Center, and the residential halls on campus. She also participated in the production of a series of training videos for future employees of the University’s fitness instructors and trainers. She loved working with diverse populations and helping others incorporate fitness into their lifestyle in a fun way.
Kate has had a passion for fitness her entire life. She loves encouraging others to try something new and pursue their goals.
