1) How did you hear about AFS?
I was at lunch with a friend one day, and he was bragging about how he had lost a ton of weight at this “new gym” he was going to. He sent me the link, I sent an email to the gym and the next thing I knew I was sitting in Nate’s office talking about tweaking my body fat percentage.
2) What/Who inspired you to take the first step toward getting in shape?
There was a time when I didn’t have a lot of confidence and I didn’t believe in myself. Around that time, I signed up to run my first half marathon. When I successfully finished the race, I realized that I could do whatever I put my mind too. At that point I decided that I wanted to be the best and strongest version of myself.
The short answer to this question: I am my own inspiration, like my shirt says haha!
3) What initially intrigued you about our program/why did you sign up?
I had tried all the other programs, cleanses, and diets with little or no success. I honestly didn’t expect this to work out like it has, but I’m glad I decided to try one more “program.”
4) How did you achieve the success you’ve seen thus far?
I think a few things have helped me in this process – I have the most amazing coach/practitioner who is supportive, I surround myself with people who want to achieve the same kind of success, and I have a weird need to one-up myself with every little accomplishment.
5) What changes have you noticed in your life since starting with AFS?
Other than the physical changes in my body, my relationship with food has changed so much. I used food as a means to escape or fix other problems. Now, I look at food as a fuel source.
6) Advice you can offer others looking to make changes you’ve made?
Henry Ford once said, “whether you think you can or can’t, you’re right.” If you sit around and think something is impossible or you can’t do it, you’ll never fully commit to doing something. Always give 110%. Never ever give up on yourself.
The sky is the limit Nicole, we’re so proud of you!
