How did you hear about AFS?
I heard of AFS through all of my co-workers. They kept raving about it and I finally had to see for myself what it was all about!

What/Who inspired you to take the first step toward getting in shape?
I was unhappy with how out of shape I was for someone my age, and just knew I needed to commit to a change in lifestyle.

What initially intrigued you about our program/why did you sign up?
I liked the variety, difficulty levels and customization of the exercises in the WLS classes, but the best thing is I used to find working out and the gym intimidating – AFS has made it seem less so.

How did you achieve the success you’ve seen thus far?
I really tried to be more conscious of what I was eating and how much.  I made a regular effort to work out or get some kind of physical activity on a regular basis.

What changes have you noticed in your life since starting with AFS?
I’ve become more of a gym rat now – if I haven’t worked out in a few days, I’m itching to go to the gym again to get that pleasant soreness.  I also notice I have healthier eating habits – I have the occasional splurge moments, but usually balance them out the rest of the times.

Advice you can offer others looking to make changes you’ve made?
It’s not an instant result, but you will get the result you want. It really helps to work out with friends and co-workers who make it fun to keep up the motivation and energy!!
