What was it like before you were a member at Applied Fitness Solutions?

I used to be a member at AFS Plymouth back when I was in high school. However, once I moved to college and then the pandemic hit, I completely fell off the fitness wagon. I was generally healthy during that period, but I was rarely active besides walking my dog. On top of that, I had nearly zero motivation to get into the gym or to start a consistent workout routine. My girlfriend and I had serious talks about what we wanted to do with our fitness life, and then we came to AFS.

What would you tell someone who’s considering joining?

I would tell someone who’s considering joining to make the leap! One of the hardest parts about joining a gym or working one-on-one with a coach is to actually get around to committing. Once you commit though, it becomes much easier.

What have you been able to achieve since being a member that perhaps you hadn’t been able to otherwise?

Consistency! I have achieved consistency being a member here. I couldn’t get myself to go to a gym before, but AFS has helped a lot in that regard.

If there’s one word you could use to describe your experience with us, what would it be?

Motivating. AFS has motivated me to stick to the gym. Plus, it is really motivating to know that if I stay and put in the work, I will get the results I am looking for!

When comparing AFS to other gyms you’ve experienced in the past, why does AFS stick out? How is AFS different from the typical gym culture in your eyes?

AFS sticks out to me because the trainers genuinely care about your success. This contributes to the overall gym culture at AFS to be a really positive experience every time we go. Compared to typical gym culture, AFS is welcoming.

What’s the main reason you’d recommend the facility?

The main reason I’d recommend the facility is for the personalized care that AFS gives us. Every month I get a new weight lifting routine personalized to my exact needs, which is amazing! Plus in their fitness classes, the coach leading the class will help modify any workout to your specific needs. It’s great!
