Beth Forhman Success Story

We take some time to talk to Beth Fohrman, AFS member since 2014, and what her experience has been like working with Adam Carey during her MY90 program.

What was it like before you were a member at Applied Fitness?

I joined Applied Fitness in 2014 and participated in the circuit training classes for several years. Unfortunately, I let multiple factors deter me and I stopped being an active member. I developed an inconsistent fitness routine and as a result let my physical and mental health slide. My weight reached an all-time high and I felt I needed help with making a change in my overall well-being. I came back to Applied Fitness and I am so happy I did.

What would you tell someone who’s considering joining?

Personal training with Adam has certainly put me back on track with exercising on a regular basis. He helped me establish goals that were realistic and took into consideration all the other factors I have in my life such as raising two teenagers and working full-time. Most importantly, Adam has given me guidance with implementing a few healthy habits in my daily life which I believe has had the greatest impact on my fitness journey.

What have you been able to achieve since being a member that perhaps you hadn’t been able to otherwise?

My mindset has shifted towards allowing myself to be human when it comes to working on my fitness goals. I don’t find myself getting as discouraged as I would have in the past if things have not progressed as I hoped. As a result, I remain positive and I keep focusing on doing my best to be healthy.

What has made you the happiest about working out with us?

I finally got over my hesitation to step inside a weight room thanks to Adam’s encouragement and support. I attend strength training twice a week. Becoming stronger has no doubt been a big plus for me.

If there’s one word you could use to describe your experience with us, what would it be?

Rewarding.
