IMG_4608Katelyn Scrivano- Intern- Ann Arbor

Hometown: Brighton, MI

I will be a senior at the University of Michigan this fall and am in the Movement Science department in the School of Kinesiology. I’m in the process of getting ready to apply to grad schools, possibly going for a dual degree in Public Health and Business, but I’m still pretty open to any possibilities. In my free time I enjoy working out, golfing, anything lake related and spending times with family and friends.

Favorite Movie:

All the Harry Potter movies, most preferably the 4th and 7th part 2.

Favorite Sports Team:

Detroit Tigers

Favorite Cheat Meal:

Pizza. Always pizza.

Biggest Fear:

Honestly, not living up to my full potential.

Hidden Talent:

I’ve played the piano for 14 years so I guess that can count as a talent!

Bucket List:

Travel to all the countries I’ve always wanted to. Some of those include Thailand, Ireland, Greece and New Zealand.

When I’m not at AFS:

I’ll most likely be in the water or outside, most likely on the lake or just enjoying any sun I can get! Or working out. That too.

Why I chose to intern at AFS:

AFS does fitness right. They start with the science behind each workout, but it’s the compassion and energy each instructor brings to the table that really helps create the unique and vibrant culture that everyone can feel here at AFS. That is something that is hard to find and I’m happy I’ve found that here!

Hometown: West Bloomfield Township, MI

I’m a rising Junior at the University of Michigan, studying Movement Science in the School of Kinesiology. I am planning to attend medical school after receiving my undergraduate degree, pursuing either cardiology or orthopedic surgery.

Favorite Movie:

All of the Fast and Furious Movies! I am a major car enthusiast.

Favorite Sports Team:

Pittsburg Steelers. Pure smash-mouth defense and Big Ben never ceases to amaze with his scrambles.

Favorite Cheat Meal:

I really don’t cheat on my diet, but I love Greek yogurt, chocolate protein powder and nuts mixed in. Throw it into the freezer for a little while and you’ve got a protein-packed snack that tastes like ice cream.

Biggest Fear:

Drowning!!!

Hidden Talent:

I’m a master chef

Bucket List:

Take a trip to Europe and visiting London, Venice and Rome.

When I’m not at AFS:

I love to lift weights, but I also enjoy playing other sports. Football, basketball and golf are my favorites!

Why I chose to intern at AFS:

I am very passionate about helping people live healthier and more productive lives, and working at AFS allows me to do it. I truly believe that exercise is medicine, both for the mind and body. AFS is unique in which the staff cares deeply for their clients while providing high-quality and persistent results. I am excited to be a part of the AFS community and look forward to helping clients achieve their goals!
