Jon Locke- Facility Maintenance

Hometown: Bay City, MI

A bit about me:

I grew up in Bay City, MI and went to Bay City Western High where I played basketball and track (discus and middle distance runner). For college, I attended CMU and majored in psychology. After college, I moved to the Detroit area and worked for Pepsi Beverages Company for many years. Now,  I’m currently living in Plymouth!

Favorite Movie:

There are many but Forrest Gump has a bit of everything!

Favorite Sports Team:

Detroit Tigers and the MSU Spartans

Favorite Cheat Meal:

The always delicious pizza

Biggest Fear:

It’s a cliché, but public speaking

Hidden Talent:

Sadly I don’t really have one except that I can reach things on really high shelves for people at the grocery store 🙂

Bucket List:

Travel as much of the world as possible, cage dive with great white sharks, and spend at least a year traveling the country in an RV

When I’m not at AFS:

I’m spending time with friends and family, going to concerts and sporting events, doing lots and lots of cycling, finding projects around the house to keep me busy, traveling whenever possible, and the more than occasional Netflix binge.

Why I chose to work at AFS:

I live really close by and wanted to join a team that is making a difference in peoples’ lives! AFS also keeps me motivated to maintain and improve on a healthy lifestyle!
