Austin Doggette- Fitness Practitioner
Hometown: Huntsville, Alabama
A bit about me:
I’m a happy go lucky, fun, and a very easy going type of guy. I was born in California and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. I went to school at Oakwood University (Huntsville, AL) and graduated in 2013 with a degree in Fitness and Wellness. I was a college basketball player and won 2 USCAA National Championships while in college. I played Semi Professional basketball until I was forced to stop due to multiple back injuries. Since hanging up my basketball shoes I have worked as a personal trainer, a high school health teacher, and athletic director.
Favorite Movie:
I can’t quite say what my single favorite movie is so I have to put together a top 5. 1. Inception, 2. The Dark Knight, Â 3. Home Alone 1/2, 4. Bad Boys 2, and 5. Beauty and the Beast
Favorite Sports Team:
Since I’m from California my favorite sports team is the Los Angeles Lakers.
Favorite Cheat Meal:
Ooooooo this is a tough one!! I’m a snacker so I love chips, but I’d have to say my favorite cheat meal consists of Asian Zing wings from Buffalo Wild Wings, Garlic Bread, and French Fries dipped in Ranch. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water! lol! (^_^)
Biggest Fear:
I am TERRIFIED of heights.
Hidden Talent:
I’m an artist! I love to draw and paint!
Bucket List:
Swim with sharks, Base jump in Dubai, and go on an African Safari
What I’m doing when I’m not at AFS:
I’m a big geek so I love to play video games and watch movies. I’m the guy you see on movies that sits in his room with a headset, combat boots, and dog tags on playing Call of Duty! Ok not really all of that extra stuff, but I LOVE playing Call of Duty and watching movies.
Why I chose to work at AFS:
I was tired of the corporate gym setting. I felt like all they cared about was money and not the clients success. I’m a guy with high moral standards and I didn’t feel right taking peoples money and being told to offer mediocre service. AFS really cares about the clients and the success of the clients. Not only does AFS base its programs on science, but they want to give the best customer service more than anything! I love the environment and the culture that has been established around AFS. From the time I walked into the door, I knew that this place was special. Each and every day I am amazed at how much respect and care is shown not only from the staff to the clients, but also the clients to the staff. After being here for only a short time I know without a shadow of doubt that there is NO other place like AFS!!
