Guess what?! May was National Burger Month! My husband LOVES burgers so this week my inspiration was to create a fun twist to an old classic. With so many different kinds of burgers out there, there’s bound to be one that will make everyone happy. I’m currently crushing on these Greek Turkey Burgers with Tzatziki Sauce and Greek Tomato Salad because I’ve got a serious love affair with Greek and Greek inspired food.

The burger itself uses fresh dill, spinach, onion, feta cheese and garlic to get the Greek flavors rolling. Then, because I’m all about the toppings, I had to add the classics. Cool, creamy tzatziki sauce, more feta cheese and a bed of Greek tomato salad, to help those that are trying to eat less refined carbs, and more veggies! Let me tell you the flavor combos are superb!

Normally, I am a big fan of Jennie-o ground turkey, but when there is a sale, and it’s splitting hairs between 2 types of meat quality, I am all about the sale! This week at Busch’s, the Butterball ground turkey was only 1.99/lb! If you are a typical burger and bun kind of guy/gal, maybe try your burger with a pita pocket instead!
Now it’s hard to imagine burgers unless they are grilled outdoors in the beautiful weather, but if that is not an option, take your cast iron skillet out of the pantry, and put it to work!
If you are planning a lot of meals ahead of time like me, get your measuring cup/scale out, and divide and conquer these burgers. With all of the fixin’s, this guy sits at a whopping 4.5oz. If you’re a guy, beef it up to a 6oz, growin’ boys need the brotein!
