1) How did you hear about AFS?
A friend of mine made multiple posts on Facebook about how much she loves AFS. I reached out to her to get more info. She immediately responded about how incredible the facility and staff members are. She encouraged me to check it out, and I did!
2) What/Who inspired you to take the first step toward getting in shape?
I really haven’t been taking care of myself for the past few years. I lost my dad to a terrible battle with cancer and then I had my first child. It’s been tough. I’ve put all my energy in coping and taking care of others. I finally got to a point where I realized I have to make a change. I want to be healthy, physically and mentally, for me and my family.
3) What initially intrigued you about our program/why did you sign up?
I love having someone available to guide me! The accountability piece is huge. When I realized there would be someone “monitoring” me I knew it was exactly what I needed. I also loved the idea of the group classes.
4) How did you achieve the success you’ve seen thus far?
I did what I was told. 🙂 I logged my food and exercised hard in the weight loss solution classes. Simple as that!
5) What changes have you noticed in your life since starting with AFS?
I’m incredibly motivated. The contact I have with my practitioner about my progress, as well as the practitioners in the group classes have helped me find that drive again. I’m also very aware of what I’m eating and what my body needs.
6) Advice you can offer others looking to make changes you’ve made?
Listen to your practitioner and be consistent. Focus on small goals so the big picture isn’t too overwhelming!
From Facebook to Fitgirl, go Melissa! 🙂
