 1) How did you hear about AFS?

Beth Remke told me about AFS.

 2) What/Who inspired you to take the first step toward getting in shape?

I saw that she seemed to be very lean and trim, and when I asked her how she did this, I thought that I would give AFS a try. I was tired of spinning my wheels trying to get leaner and lose weight, but having no direction.

 3) What initially intrigued you about our program/why did you sign up?

I initially met with Mike Stack and was impressed by his knowledge and energy.

 4) How did you achieve the success you’ve seen thus far?

I initially was super diligent in calorie tracking (food logging). I was shocked to see how many calories I was really ingesting, and that was not good. It became obvious to me that I was not losing weight because I had no idea how much I was taking in each day. I changed my diet a lot by limiting sweets (but not totally). I learned to eat in moderation and to watch calories. I look at almost every label now.

 5) What changes have you noticed in your life since starting with AFS?

I have lost a lot of body fat and gained lean body mass. I have been working out in Strength Solution with the goal of concentrating on strength exercises to assist me in training and competing in triathlons, as well as helping to limit injury.

6) Advice you can offer others looking to make changes you’ve made?

Be patient and give it a chance. There is no magic diet or pill. You really have to work on this by yourself and learn how to eat better. You need to have a very good practitioner that you can connect with. Not just any practitioner will work for every person. You need to be honest with yourself and your practitioner and list all your calories, not omit the foods that you are ashamed of eating.

Here’s to your next milestone Jackie!
