First I have to thank you for the height..I tower over 1st and 2nd graders and can dunk a basketball on the fisher price hoop. Aside from the incredible physical characteristics I got from you, I’ve also learned how to be a good person. In every interaction I have every day I find myself thinking: “What would mom do, what would she say, how would she make this person feel better.” Sometimes it’s easy to identify one eloquent trait, but there isn’t just one thing I’ve learned from you, it’s everything.

The most important lesson I’ve learned from you is to appreciate teachers. Not just school teachers (although they are definitely deserving). I’ve learned to appreciate the time, energy, commitment, and kindness that ALL teachers put into their work. I think that’s why I love being at AFS so much, I’m surrounded by “life” teachers that keep me growing and learning everyday. Aside from being an exact genetic copy of you, I also learned a heck of a lot about life from you. They made me choose one lesson or quality you passed on to me, so even though they’re countless, the most important lesson I’ve learned from you is genuineness.
