About Me
When I was just a small child I always knew I wanted to be an athlete of some sort. I was the type to help others along the way in that process. If we were told to run laps, I always wanted to be the first one to finish but found more joy in encouraging my teammates who weren’t as fast or athletically inclined to push through it and work hard. Believing I was on the right path to accomplish my dreams I experienced a spinal injury which put a damper on my goals. Instead of being the athlete that participated in these events, I decided being the coach behind them would fit me best. My passion for health and wellness took me into all different aspects of coaching. From being a middle school football coach to eventually training professional athletes in the Chicagoland area. After spending some time as a fitness coach. I found that I was only able to help the handful of clients I trained on a daily basis. My drive to help people be the best version of themselves took me into the marketing role where I could reach a much larger scale of potential clients. Being in the fitness industry for a little over 10 years I have seen many ways to promote health and wellness. The good the bad and the ugly. Deciding to continue my fitness career with AFS was the best route to travel after learning about their core values and the science behind the programming.
What Will I Be Doing At AFS?
My goal with AFS will be to provide a truly comforting client experience from the moment someone new walks in the door. It’s very challenging to come to a place like a gym seeking guidance. So I will find what it is you need to improve on in the most desirable setting. We are here to find your path to overall wellness. If it’s not with AFS, we hope to at least guide you in the right direction.
Outside of AFS
I spend most of my free time with my childhood sweetheart (wife) and our beautiful baby girl. We also have a fur baby named Montee. Montee is a 6 year old chocolate lab and enjoys long walks on the beach and playing fetch with anything round. As a family we enjoy doing anything outdoors. From hiking, kayaking, biking, and camping to gazing at the stars in northern Michigan.
Saying that I am excited to be at AFS is a complete understatement. I felt at home the moment I walked through the doors. I hope to give each person I meet that very same feeling!
