Tyler Baker, BS, ACSM – EP, ACSM – CPT, CSCS

Spartan Fan/Hunter/Secret Back Up Dancer

Through personal experience, Tyler has seen what thriving levels of health and fitness can do for one’s well being-especially when times get tough. Dealing with a bout of unexpected soft tissue cancer at the same time as expecting your first born child would leave anyone feeling overmatched. With a supportive community behind him, Tyler’s impeccable health was a key determinant in him overcoming this obstacle. He now views health and fitness through a new lens, one that can ultimately save lives. This superhero of a person can be found in a treestand during hunting season, wearing green and white on college game day or spending quality time with his son Conor and wife Claire.
Tyler’s official title is Health/Fitness Director. He oversees all program development, member health outcomes, and employee education for AFS. Tyler is a Personal Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Eastern Michigan University. His love for sports and interest in how athletes develop through training is what led him into his fitness profession, but he feels a true calling to help all members in their health and fitness journey. A calling that’s coming in more clearly by the day.
