Sawyer Paull-Baird is the Fitness Innovation & Education Coordinator at Applied Fitness Solutions, serving all locations. He received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science from Eastern Michigan University in 2013, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Sawyer holds certifications through the National Strength & Conditioning Association, American College of Sports Medicine, and Precision Nutrition.
His passion for health and fitness originally stems from his lifelong participation in athletics. While recovering from a devastating knee injury and through the subsequent rehabilitation process, he recognized the potential of turning this passion into a career. Based on these experiences, while in college, Sawyer explored potential careers in both Physical Therapy and Strength & Conditioning. However, over time, Sawyer came to realize that the biggest impact he could make was by working with “normal” every day people to improve their health, fitness, and generally lead more fulfilling lives. To Sawyer, while aiding someone in their efforts run faster, or jump higher is a lot of fun, helping someone have the confidence in their body to chase their kids or grand-kids around the yard, or make more confident food choices, is much more rewarding. By empowering others to take control over their health, and live more joyful lives, he feels he is doing his part to make the world a kinder and happier place for us all to live.
As the Fitness Innovation & Education Coordinator, Sawyer strives to ensure that AFS is constantly evolving, growing, and improving, thereby making certain our systems, team, and service is in line not just with our values, but also with the advancements in health sciences and technology. With growth as a company Core Value, Sawyer works behind the scenes to constantly improve the client experience at AFS.
In his free time Sawyer enjoys spending time with his wife and four cats (yes..four..). He is also an avid University of Michigan sports fan, gamer, brother, and son.
