Mikayla joined our team to be a friendly face at the front desk, her hope is to extend an inviting and comfortable environment into the AFS lobby. As the front desk manager, she is the first and last person our members see before and after their workouts. With that comes a huge responsibility of making sure the impression of AFS’ core values are felt.

Mikayla was very involved in sports growing up which involved soccer, volleyball, and basketball.  Till this day she is still involved in athletics as she plays on a coed soccer league and is an assistant varsity volleyball coach.  Mikayla got her Bachelors degree in Kinesiology and a minor in Health Promotion at Michigan State University. While attending Michigan State Mikayla was a member of Phi Epsilon Kappa, a Kinesiology fraternity where she helped volunteer at different health/fitness events and promoted a healthy lifestyle around campus. She hopes to continue to do that while being a part of the AFS family.

Why I’m Here

I love being a part of other peoples health and fitness journey.  I want to be able to provide an inviting and comfortable atmosphere, when someone walks through the door they are motivated to be an even better version of themselves.

What I’m Doing When I’m Not Here

When I’m not at AFS you can find me spending time with my family.  Family is a big part of my life and it is important to me to spend time with them.  I have been blessed to become an Aunt to my niece and nephew. I also have a twin sister who is my absolute best friend.  When I’m not with family, I enjoy being outside and going on adventurous hikes with friends.

Favorite Part of AFS Culture

My favorite part of AFS is that everyone is so welcoming and positive between my coworkers and the clients.  Everyone supports one another and there really is a family feel at AFS.
