Holly joined our team…

To provide Massage Therapy services to assist you in reaching your fitness goals. Holly’s background in Physical Therapy provides her with an in depth understanding of sports related injuries, repetitive stress injuries and chronic pain problems. Massage Therapy decreases and / or eliminates areas of chronic pain, resolving areas of muscle tension/spasm and improves overall function. She also provides instruction about proper self-care to help you to maintain your progress at home.

Growing up…

Holly loved Science and anything active.  Beginning in elementary school and moving forward Holly participated in dance, gymnastics, track, softball and her favorite: cycling.  As an adult, Holly taught fitness at her local YWCA for over 12 years as a Certified Adult Fitness and Aquatics Fitness Instructor.

Through an injury, Holly was introduced to the world of Physical Therapy and fell in love with it.  She went on to get her Physical Therapist Assistant degree in 2000.  During University Holly was taken aside by a professor who encouraged her to pursue Massage Therapy as another “tool” in her “tool belt.”  So, at one point, she went to PT school by day and Massage Therapy School by night, but all the integrated study paid off. Physical Therapy is a much deeper dive into the function of the body, enabling Holly to have a much broader understanding of what she’s working with when doing Massage Therapy. Holly received her Massage Therapy degree in 2001 and is currently licensed with the State of Michigan in both professions.

Prior to moving back to the State of Michigan in 2012, Holly owned and operated a successful Medical Massage Therapy business, Associated Therapies, for 10 years. Working with Dr’s, Chiropractors, and Physical Therapists who referred their patients to the business as an additional part of their treatment plan.
