Foundation Chiropractic at a Glance
Traditionally, a chiropractor has been seen as the provider for achy backs and stiff necks. In fact at Foundation, we are presented weekly with the following line on a consultation:
“I’m not sure why I was recommended to Foundation Chiropractic, but my doctor/trainer/friend said I needed to come in. It’s my (fill in the blank with body parts other than spine) that bothers me, but my back is ok!”
The truth is, your body is a complex, interconnected machine. While the spine and nervous system make up the literal backbone of this complex, the soft tissue of the upper and lower extremities and core muscle activation patterns play a huge role in a resilient and normal functioning body. While addressing the integrity of the spine is always a factor, we see a large number of cases that deal with extra-spinal areas.
One of our main goals at Foundation Chiropractic is to have clear communication through the correction and rehabilitation process, leaving you with less time dealing with injury, and more time back in the gym or on the field, enjoying an active lifestyle.
Chiropractic Services and Benefits
At Foundation Chiropractic, our purpose is to provide a comprehensive solution to problems related to structural abnormalities in the spine, nervous system, and extremities, allowing your body to work at its highest capacity.
ANALYSIS – We use proven and reliable measures to locate and analyze structural shift that creates a weak foundation for your spine and leads to secondary conditions. This takes out the guesswork and reduces outside variability.
GOALS – We work with you to set a roadmap with clear goals and measures. Nothing is more frustrating than not knowing how far the light at the end of the tunnel is away, what that light looks like, or how you know when you’ve arrived.
RESULTS – With a combination of hands-on work and rehabilitation programming, we attack an issue on both ends, leading to quicker and more long lasting recovery.
Meet Dr. Tygue Arvidson (AFS Ann Arbor only)
Tygue received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Marietta, GA. Before completing his doctorate, he attended Siena Heights University in Adrian, MI to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and did Master’s work in the field of Neurobiology at Bowling Green State University. Doctor Tygue also holds a certificate as a CrossFit trainer and has spent thousands of hours coaching and helping athletes improve functional movement patterns to build strength and coordination. This unique combination of history has awarded Dr. Tygue with the opportunity to work with Professional Athletes, Olympic Athletes, and CrossFit Games Athletes.
Outside of office and gym hours, he will most likely be found in his garage building cars, metalworking, or spending time with his wife Hailey and fur-baby Kloe.
