Danny Gossman – Future Marketing Director – AFS Rochester
Hometown: Port Huron, MI
I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Wayne State University and, since then, I’ve been dying to put my passions for both fitness and helping people into action. When I found Applied Fitness Solutions, I realized I found the best of both worlds. I’m a die-hard weight-lifting fanatic that has a deep passion for human interaction–seriously, I love talking to people; whether you’re a close friend, family member, or complete stranger, I thrive off of deep or abstract conversations outside of the basic small talk. My vision is to succeed through not only myself, but the rest of the world; so when I say I want everyone around me to do great, I really mean it! I could not be more excited to influence and help the community of Rochester Hills by offering a friendly first impression to anyone and everyone that sets foot into AFS!
Favorite Movie:
Fight Club! Blows my mind every time.
Favorite Cheat Meal:
This is a tough one, but I don’t ever feel bad about eating a cheeseburger and sweet potato fries.
Biggest Fear:
Wasted potential. We all have something inside us that will make us great, so I’d hate to never truly find that and fulfill it.
Hidden Talent:
When the beat is right, I dance.
Bucket List:
Skydiving, Grand Canyon, Mt. Everest
When I’m not at AFS:
When I’m not at AFS, you can find me cooking something at my apartment, playing basketball or beach volleyball, listening to music (almost 24/7), or going on a random adventure with a really nice view–wherever that may be.
Why I chose AFS:
I’m a firm believer that everyone is weird in his or her own way, we just need to have the confidence to flaunt it. I think the best way to learn how to flaunt that weirdness and exert an authentic aura to the people around us is to be confident in ourselves through feeling good. What better way to make yourself feel good than exercise and improve your self-image? The issue that a lot of people have is not knowing how to exercise properly as well as not feeling part of something bigger than themselves. When I discovered AFS, I found not only a place that can help every day people learn how to stay healthy and active, but a place where everyone feels comfortable and able to flaunt what makes them unique. This approach to fitness and community pretty much encompasses everything that I believe in regards to working together to create an environment that is perfect for improving everyone that joins. That is how I see myself changing the world: through helping everyone understand their true potential (and weirdness 🙂 ) so we can all be the most authentic versions of ourselves.
